I'm thinking of using an online dating service. Which one is the best and why?
I know of e-harmony.com and match.com to be the most popular. If any of you have had success with an online dating service, which one was it and do you recommend using one.

- match.com
- yahoo personals From casual dates to wedding dates, it all happens here. Browse profiles, FREE. Use advanced search and get specific, FREE
- i say to not use online dating because it is not the best way for some things
- I tried yahoo personals it sucked for me but I am 50 yr. Eharmmony uses a program to figure out who you should date and they will choose for you. match I have not heard much but I am not impressed by any of them yet I think they suck and most of the people are playing a game. without wasting your money try plentyoffish.com it is free and you get the same response. careful they all take you money fast but little returns.
- Before I got married I used a few different online services and my favourites were www.match.com and www.lavalife. There's also a great site called www.greatboyfriends.com and www.greatgirlfriends.com (depending on what you're looking for). It's very unique. I'd definitely recommend it! Also, I've heard great things about eharmony, too. Whatever you do, have fun...Think of it as a chance to learn about all of the things you like and don't like in a partner. It's also good to "practice" dating and it's entertaining, too! Not that you asked, but I would definitely recommend that you keep the email correspondence brief, have at least one phone call before you meet, and don't plan on a long date for the first....coffee or a drink or lunch at the most is my recommendation. You can always make the date longer if you click, but being with someone on a 5 hour date while you have dinner, go to a movie, and go for dessert when there's no chemistry is pure torture! I don't know about you but I'd rather be alone than on a bad date! Good luck!
- I used Match.com and Yahoo.com when I was single. I ended up meeting my future husband on Yahoo Personals. I liked on-line dating because I don't go to bars and have limited access to new people and on-line was where I could meet others. We both got to know each others personalities before we ever met in person. I knew I was in love with who he was and nothing else mattered.
