Online dating any good?

I've got to a point in my life and have had enough of being single, is online dating any good. Datingdirect seems to be popular has anyone had any success, can anyone point me to some good sites, thanks.

3. it can but you need to be so careful that the person you are intending to contact is someone that is safe to be with. never meet the person on your own, if you do arrange to meet with someone always bring a friend.
4. online dating is good but just be careful as there are some freaks out there, if you are going to meet up meet sumwhere public, Although there are freaks just remember there are freaks everywhere

8. yes many have married and got kids. be careful though and webcam, IM, email, phone, text is all important. you need to meet them too asap but distance might be problem if you cant do long distant relationships etc. its hard at first til you move in together.just be sure the person thats on the other end is still like that in person.
