Whats the best gay dating site for looking for boyfriends, NOT for hookups or brief encounters?

It seems like the one site I am paying for has a small group of the same folks on it over the past year or so. I am thinking that there must be tons of gay guys looking for boyfriends via online dating sites of various types, and I just want to know which ones are most popular because I am spending a lot of money on one that hasn't really panned out. I heard that some of the more big named ones are more successful for hookups than anything else. Any recommendations or thoughts are appreciated! Thanks!!

1. try gay.com...you can chat for free... try myspace.com... you can search...read a LOT about people...and email for free.. and then pay for match.com...good luck!...
2. Yahoo Personals might be right for you. You can post a free profile but you have to pay a fee to communicate with the people you're interested in. Oh, and don't count on Gay.com. It's pretty sleazy, especially in the chat rooms.
3. Try http://www.gayromeo.com for worldwide as well as local contacts. Other nice sites are http://www.connexion.net for contacts nationwide and http://www.emailmen.net - ostensibly free if someone emails you through the site, otherwise a slight fee for monthly membership. You will have to determine whether it is worth the time and trouble, but check it out anyway.
