What percentage of your dates come from online dating sites? I would say most of my dates (80-90%) come from online dating sites since it is more convenient (although I do not want to be dependent on it). However, some sites are riddled with spammers, so it definitely has it's faults. The traditional way of meeting people (face to face at parties, etc.) is still probably preferred. What is your take on this? Which method do you prefer and what proportion of your dates come from online sites? Thanks.
Online dating sites - Can anyone recommend to me an online dating site that actually works? OK so I've used quite a few online dating sites with no success. I'm lonely and haven't been on a date for quite some time now. I've been trying to hook up with women online but I never get a response from the women I send out messages to on the internet dating sites. I'm beginning to think the whole internet dating thing is a scam and actually doesn't work. So has anyone used any dating website that has actually yielded good results for them? Thanks.
Would you be bothered if someone interested in you was surfing online dating sites? Like if you see him surfing online dating sites via facebook or something.. would you be, erm, bothered? Like would your impression of him change or is it fine? But when he's interested in a girl, he spends hours talking to her to get to know her and he doesn't make any physical moves or touch her or anything. Ladies, would it bother you if someone you were interested in was visiting all these sites online? thanks!
How do you use online dating sites? I am a guy and have never used an online dating site but decided to sign up for a Christian dating web site. Im just wondering what is the best way to approach a girl on most sites without looking desperate or like a stalker? Should I wink/smile or whatever the thing is on the site and see if they seek me out or just email them off the bat? and if I email them off the bat what do i say? how do i initiate it? thanks!
What is your honest opinion about online dating sites? Do you think the chances of finding a relationship on dating sites are slim? Do you think people just go on them to hookup? I was on one and I felt like every guy I talked to just wanted sex. Is it just better to avoid online dating all together?
Online dating sites safe or not and are these sites only for people that want to get married? I've been thinking about giving one of those popular online dating sites a try, but I'm a little sceptical about how safe they are, and I'm also wondering if you can only use these sites if your trying to get married, I mean what if your just interested in a posible committed relationship and your not in a hurry to get married you just want to relax and see where things go, is that allowed on those sites your not?
Any bad experiences with online dating sites? I have been messaging this guy I met on a dating site, he seems like my type, I looked at his pictures, thought he was cute. He asked me for my number, but instead I asked him to give me his number. I called him earlier-I blocked my number just in case, then I hung up on him. I just wanted to make sure he was a guy. I plan on texted him later. Anyone had good experiences, bad experiences on online dating sites?
What is your opinion of online dating sites? does anyone have an account to any of these online dating sites. how would you rate it? i have match.com but so far nothing has been successful. does anyone have any good stories concerning match.com?
What online dating sites would most consider the most reputable? I previously used match.com to online date and I am older and the guy I got turned out to be crazy. I know that is being judgemental but that was just my opinion. I have also used eharmony and have been with this guy for two years and now I am having my doubts about him. Just wondering of all the online dating sites which ones would have the more decent guys. Thanks for your help
do all online dating sites use fake profiles to sucker you into joining the website? as soon as you sign up for free accounts on several online dating sites, you start getting many message from women , that requires you to pay to read. Once you pay, the messages stop coming, and no replies are recieved to those you reply to. When you are up for renewal, the messages from women start up again. Does anyone have inside info about these sites work, and isnt it illegal, or fraudulant to use fake profiles to lure people into joining the site
Has anyone had any luck on online dating sites? So, I have heard alot of people talking about being member of online dating sites, but I have not heard anyone say that is where they met their bf, gf, wife, husband. Have you had any luck there or know of anyone that has? Thought about trying but it seems pointless to me since I am not sure that anyone has gotten any results. Thanks!

Any online dating sites that are for 13 and up? I know there are 13 and 14 year old girls trying to find dates online, but most of the sites are for 18 and up.And I was like,"What the heck are they doing? Are they trying to get in trouble with the police and trying to get rapped by some dudes they met online?" I'm worried about those girls, but isn't there like a site for those girls to find the perfect match other then Eharmony and match and stuff.Shouldn't they be using those instead,if there are any?
Online Dating: Why Do Time Wasters Subscribe to Online Dating Sites? After emailing back and forth for about a month, I told someone that I would not be writing emails anymore, but was very polite, the person responded that he did not think that we were supposed to be doing anything but passing the time on this online site. I was surprised as my requirements for what I want are outlined on my profile. Why do people like this subscribe to online dating sites and waste people's time? What do you think?
Best place for advertising online dating sites? I run online dating sites, spend hours and hours advertising. I get traffic, but could do with a lot more. I am asking if anyone on here, knows which is the best form of advertising. My site is http://www.sweet-partners.co.uk, the site is full of content so I do not think their is a problem with the site.
What are some good online dating sites to find some love? Does anyone know any sites online where a big girl like myself, can search for some interracial love. (I am black by the way) I am more attracted to white, latino and asian men. Some sites I have been to have so man crazy ass men. Want to try something different to meet someone. If you know of any good one please let me know!!!!!!
Online dating sites - graveyards for girls treated bad? When looking on online dating sites, a huge percentage of the girls in their twenties have kids. It seems that most on there have been treated badly or been left with a kid. Is this why a lot of girls join dating sites; because they hope that the guys online are better and more decent compared to the people they meet on nights out?
What are women looking for at online dating sites? It seems to me women are making their decisions based on ethnicity/height/money. I haven't had much luck with online dating. I am getting cynical and giving up hope. I am not looking for any particular type of ethnicity - just whoever I find attractive and has a decent job with a college education, like me. any ideas? Greatly appreciate it.
are there any online dating sites where people with a criminal past can find dates? nobody is perfect we all make mistakes and canchange the way we act and live. It would be nice if people that have been in trouble with the law in the past and like were on probation or in jail can find someone that would accept them for who they are in a dating situation. But I think online dating sites black ball people who have had troubled pasts.
what is with the explosion of online dating sites? what is with the explosion of online dating sites in the past 10 years.. i mean if peopel got along jsut fine and found someone to be with for thousands of years..... why now do we have to turn to the internet???
What are some of the best, free online dating sites? I havent been having too much luck lately in the boy department and wanted to give a dating site a try! I don't want to have to pay though, I'm not that desperate yet, lol. I tried espin which was supposedly free, but you had to register for all these other sites in order to have access to all their features. Lame! I just want a free dating site where you have access to everything. And it's actually free! No registering for sponsors or paying each month.
What do you talk about on online dating sites? I finally figured out how to make a first message that's not completely retarded. But I can't figure out what else to type and I end up sounding stupid. ("like so how are you?" and stuff like that) What do I type to keep sounding interesting? For that matter what do women even want to talk about online and no I have absolutely no experience with women as you have probably guessed.
What do you think of online dating sites like match and eharmony? What do you think the success rate in finding a quality guy is on these sites? I am a 29 yo female, and so many guys who I'm not attracted to are contacting me. A lot of guys over 40, who are divorced with kids are contacting me even though my profile specifies that i do not want that? Am I that ugly that no guys I like or am attracted to contact me or wink at me? Also, I am not going to make the first move by contacting the guy first
What is the proper protocol for people in a serious relationship searching online dating sites? I met the love of my life 1 1/2 years ago on an online dating service. We fell in love and get along very well. I consider us as man and wife. I cannot understand though why he still has profiles on at least 4 dating sites that I know of and always looks at the womens profiles on them. He also looks at myspace.com which is pretty much like the dating sites and carigslist personals,(causal encounters, women seeking men, misc romance, women seeking women,) for several different cities. He does not email or talk to them, he just looks. It makes me feel that I am inadequate. We live together and are not married which is very hard for me to handle since I was not raised to believe in that. I feel that is is disrespectful to be searching personal ads while being involved in a relationship. Is this just my insecurity or is there more to this? I would appreciate prompt responses from both ladies and gentlemen on this issue.
What are some good online dating sites or other ways for? my mom to meet someone her age? She's tried dating sites, blind dates from friends, etc. What are some good ways to find someone her age (50's) either through dating sites or some other way? What do you think of online dating sites? Has anyone here had experience with Match.com? Or any other dating site that gives you the option of looking for same-sex dates? I'm a pretty old-fashioned girl who is just about petrified of the online-dating scene. I'm starting to sloowwwly look into it as an option for down the road. I'd like some feedback from people who have actually used such sites. What site did you use? What did you like about it? What didn't you like? Did you meet some nice people? Would you recommend that site to someone else? I'm looking for sites that aren't highly sexualized... you know, the ones where everyone's profile is focused on sex, and the pics are of people barely dressed? Yeah I don't want those types of sites. Like I said, I'm old-fashioned. :) Sex is good. Sex is great. Sex is just not my thing on the first date. Thanks ahead of time for your answers.
Is it okay to login to online dating sites? I have been dating this girl for 3 months. I enjoy the online dating sites but choose not to go on because I don't wan't to know if she is on and her to know that I am on. I still want to surf it and sees whoose out their but feel uncompfortable doing so. Why would this be, or should I just go with it anyway. We are not exclusive or anything.
Thanks.
Are there any TRUE legitimate online dating sites that are free? I am a very young 50 yr old female..My boyfriend of the past 4 years and I have parted..and I'm kinda not knowing how to get back to dating..He was only 29,and the breakup had nothing to do with age,but I'm just not up on the dating scene...Don't really like bars...Any suggestions?
What are some popular and active online dating sites? I am an 26 year old hispanic male from elizabeth nj, I am bisexual, looking for a 100% free site with no credit card or anything required, just enter email and what you looking for etc and send messages for free, preferably a site for women and men looking for adult fun. any help would be great
Whats the point with all the Online dating sites out there? Ive tried browsing through a few, and they re all amazingly overpriced, and seem to get no results, wht do they charge so much? I realize for shy people like me its a lot easier to not have to deal with rejection in person, but are there really so many similarly minded people out there? Why such a low level of sucess given the high price one pays?
Do people actually use online dating sites? Myspace,Facebook and those sorts aren't really dating sites. They are for friends...and dating is just goodluck there. Not the purpose.Although some it may be.,, But the ones like eharmony and lavalife..who actually uses those? Do you know anyone? or do you use it? I personally don't know anyone who uses an ACTUAL real dating service site. There are the horror stories...and then apparently there are some real ones.
Why do people use online dating sites? Many of the people pathetic and desperate enough to do online daing are old, sundamaged aging party hags who want some rich schmuck to use as a meal ticket!
Anyone tried online dating sites like match? i was just wondering if anyone has tried, or knows anyone that has tried match, or any other dating sites. i am on match right now and seem to be having a really hard time (4 months). i dont know if it is actually me. i have had no luck, and havent met anyone.
Do you think theres too many online dating sites? Cause I do, and the way they are advertised is ridiculous, because alot of people from online dating sites either lie about their age, use fake pictures and whatnot, what good is that if someone is looking for a serious relationship? I'm not against online dating because I met my boyfriend on aim but why do people spend money on these sites when the people they want to meet are liars? I just dont get it, but then again theres alot of things I don't get.
What are some good ways to impress women on online dating sites? I define impress as this: If you expressed interest in them, they don't reject you. If they search for you and find your profile, they initiate contact I am thinking more along the lines of ... what do women expect of a guy they find online? Like, I know women get a ton more responses than men on their profile so you haveta stand out from the crowd, how?
Any hope on these online dating sites? Ive been trying the free sites out there to meet women. Most of my time is spent at work and it lacks a social atmosphere. I've actually met some people but haven't found the right one. Is there any hope?
Are there any online dating sites with a matching system similar to Okcupid? I've been on OKcupid for a long time and I'm really impressed with their matching system. It's extremely accurate and I haven't seen anything like it on any other site. However, I've moved to an area where there's not many high matches. Does anyone know of an online dating site that has a matching system that is as good as Okcupid's. One that is NOT EHARMONY.
Are there and online dating sites that DON'T require you to pay? so i've been on all these sites like e-harmony, chemistry, singlesnet, etc. but dang! In order for me to actually communicate with these people I have to pay a subscription! does anyone know a site that's COMPLETELY free like myspace and what not? because a lot of these sites say FREE but only to view profiles and stuff, I need a totally free site that won't charge me for looking for someone, help please? thanks!
How do you use online dating sites? I have an account on an online dating site. I've sent messages to a few people saying "hello" and introducing myself, nothing too personal. My question is, where do I go from here? I'm really apprehensive about meeting people from these sites in person. How do other people do it? How long do you talk before meeting? How do you know the people you are talking to aren't just looking to get you in bed?
My boyfriend looks at online dating sites. Is that a bad sign? I caught him looking at a few online dating sites. When I asked him why, he said he only reads the profiles to pass the time. He swears he hasn't talked to any girls on those sites. I would really like to believe him, but I don't know if I can. You think he's lying or do guys really do this?
Online dating: Why do people on dating sites over-analyze the messages/responses they receive? Some of my female friends just entered the world of online dating, and they always ask questions about the messages they receive. For instance, they try to figure out a person by the length of their messages. For instance, if a guy sends a long response, then my friends will think that he's probably desperate, of if the guy sends a short message, then he's probably chatting/talking to a lot of women, etc. This is ridiculous. Why not just find someone who you're interested in (or could be interested in) and just go with the flow, instead of trying figure everything out before anything happens?
What do you think of these stereotypes of people who are on online dating sites? These are the common stereotypes I have heard from people: Most females on online dating sites are either hopeless romantics or very unattractive. Most males on online dating sites are already married or involved in a serious relationship and looking for "extracurricular activities" or they are computer geeks that are smooth with the computer keyboard but are social inept in person. DISCLAIMER: In no way do I endorse these stereotypes. I am just repeating what I have heard from people who dislike online dating.
what are some free and good online dating sites ? just wondering what other free and good dating sites exist . having trouble geting on one i used before , for whatever reasons . so i need to find a new one . looking for free ones because not interesting spenting money or giving out credit card numbers . guess i'm interested in online dating cause i feel it offers some possibiles to meet people from out of town . would like some more suggestions if possible , and plenty of fish is the site i can't get on so that doesn;t help
